Staying postive

It’s only natural that when we are working so hard towards something, something will go wrong. I have been experiencing this lately and often wonder if I am at a dead-end and should just throw in the towel.

We often think we are at dead-ends when the door closes. What we need to keep reminding ourselves is that the reason that door closed is because it’s not meant to be. We have to look for that open door (there is always one right behind us or next to that closed door) and not be afraid to enter it.

Why is it that we get so caught up with the closed door? We obsess, we reflect, we wonder what if. Why can’t we just accept the hurdle and wait for the next door to open?

While it is hard to keep our heads up sometimes, keep patient, remain faithful and know that these bumps in the road are actually keep us on the right path – what are the ways that we can stay positive and pursuant to the goal at hand?

In my case, I feel like I’m making very little process on my official immigrant status to the US and often wonder where I am going with this site. What is it that you are working so hard towards, but feel you will never get there?

Let’s use this space to support and encourage each other to stay on course and not give up. Let’s push each other through those open doors, even if we are having a time seeing it.

The last year has probably been the hardest in my life! And it seems as if something is going to go wrong it does, almost like I am being sabotaged; the little bumps in the road turn in to boulders! Keep in mind, I try not to have pity parties and try to stay focused. But after a weeks worth of slamming doors you do just want to throw in the towel. What helps me...Everymorning when I open my eyes, and then through out the day..I say Thank You! It's hard to be negavtive when you are grateful, even if it is just a mind set. Try saying "Thank you for my us citizenship" several times a day! Thanks for being my buddy! Julie
